But daddy we love Taylor Swift's VMAs look.
The pop star was on a fashion hot streak over the weekend while out in New York with boyfriend Travis Kelce—and now she's continuing her style serves at the 2024 MTV VMAs. Taylor, 34, wowed on the red carpet, rocking a plaid corset Dior dress with black, bondage-inspired gloves at the Sept. 11 award show, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion.
Taylor—who has yet to make her red carpet debut with Travis—topped off her pop-punk look with her signature knee-high boots and a choker necklace to give off Clueless and Reputation vibes. (Click here to see all the stars on the red carpet at New York's UBS Arena.)
And if you thought her red carpet 'fit was so gorgeous it actually hurt, prepare to be stunned for longer than just a fortnight if she takes home some trophies this evening.
The "Blank Space" singer heads into the 2024 VMAs with 23 prior wins and 12 nominations tonight—including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year—meaning she could leave a big winner and potentially top Beyoncé's record of 26 solo wins. (The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer also shares 2 victories with Destiny’s Child and another 2 with husband Jay-Z.)
And the VMAs have historically been an impactful night for Taylor, as it was at the ceremony 15 years ago when Kanye West notoriously interrupted her speech for Best Female Video.
More recently, the Grammy winner has used her acceptance speeches at the VMAs to announce new music. Back in 2022, she revealed her 10th album Midnights was in the works while taking home the Moon Person for Video of the Year for "All Too Well (10-Minute Version)."
"I had sort of made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous and give us this, I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you that my brand-new album comes out Oct. 21," she revealed onstage. "And I will tell you more at midnight."
And regardless of the outcome of the VMAs this year, Taylor has already masterminded plenty more milestones to come. Her record-breaking Eras Tour concludes in December in Vancouver, Canada, and she's expected to continue to enjoy the NFL season alongside Travis, who she's been dating for over a year, as he aims to lock in the Kansas City Chiefs' third Super Bowl win in a row.
In the meantime, read on for a look at more bejeweled celebrities at the 2024 MTV VMAs.
